As you can tell by the title, a lot has happened in the past month. The move has gone well. Our house finally closed on Friday the 11th, September 2009. I've made friends at church and a few at school.
We put an offer on our house quite a while ago. Since it was a short sale, the offer seemed to have just been sitting in someone's office until about a week ago when they settled the closing date. Wednesday, the paper's were signed and on Friday afternoon, the call came declaring us homeowners. Just because we own the house doesn't mean much until it becomes livable. The walls are painted mustard and ketchup colors and the carpet is stained with who knows what. The roof is covered with pigeon scrud and the yard is weeds and dead grass. The house was dirty inside and we need to add a wall for my dad's office. That's a lot of work. So... as my mom, aunt, a grandma scrub the floors and clean the house, my dad starts with the wall while I screw around outside. To go into more detail on what I did outide, let's just say I found a fountain, cinder blocks, pulled up dead grass, various rocks, and a plant that I transplanted. It's looks really nice altogether.
My exciting summer finally came to a close at the very end of August. The first day was pretty rough since I didn't know anyone and no one to sit by, but slowly I made a few friends, so school isn't something I dread every morning. The school is pretty sweet, if only I had the friends and other people I had back in Illinois over here. But, before school started, as I said, was a rough summer. Besides the move, my Grandpa Gibson died from cancer at age 69 and my great-grandma died at 94 of old age. I've done a lot of traveling and mainly just getting used to things.
Well, that's how things have been so far. Hello to all the folks in Illinois! And I guess Hello to the people here in Nevada(Neh-va-duh not Nuh-vah-duh).

Yo Nevadan, I'm glad things are going well! I hope you make more friends as the days go on.
Hey jared welcome to Nevada!
Bryanna G: Hey... I'm glad to be back.
Alex: Yeah, things pretty much rock out here. How are things back in Good Ole "Flatsville"?
*yawn*
To answer for MJ, same old same old.
School's started-obviously-and I have "8th grade-itis". I'm on Team Peonix--Team Alpha this year. How LAME!!!
I'm 14!!! OMG you missed my birthday!! Grr! Haha jk jk. It was 2 days after you posted. (9/15)
Mr. Knapp (Social Studies) ROX!!! We watched Legend of Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp in Writing. (Bad acting, good surprises)
In band, we have a couple new kids. One is Don-bassoon player!!! The other plays the alto sax and he's an insufferable jckss.
Mr. Masterman isn't conducting jazz band anymore-but he'll be helping, so that's still good.
Basically, we miss you.
Come back!! Haha
O! Elizabeth Goodman is in my math class! How weird is that?!?! ;)
Flatsville is corny like usual, and rainy. And did I mention the humidity!!! Gag my heart out!!! It's full of garbage here. Haha.
Jennifer: Good to know you're excited for the school year because I'm not. You should slap the Alto Sax player and tell him that he better be at least 1/4 as cool as the guy he's replacing(me). Just kidding, but it would be funny though. I think it's hilarious that your in Elizabeth's class.
Master Julio, King of the Energizer Bunnies!: Glad to here things are the same and Illionois hasn't turned to a desert land without me, but things here are dry and cooler(literally) that way.
O don't worry about Jackson (alto sax player). Again. He's an insufferable jckss (you get that, right? I'd worry about you just a bit if you didn't) but he's getting better. (a.k.a. he's not messing with me)He's not NEARLY as awesome as you, and Parker's basically become the savior of the saxes along with Brianna. Everyone else sux. :'(
Anyway, he's a creeper. He stares at EVERYONE!!! Not kidding!!!
OMG Mimi missed the sign up deadline for IMEA tryouts and she's practiced for a year!!! She's PO'd!!!
*sigh*
You need to come back soon. Just randomly visit school. (band) Everyone would be so excited to see you.
I'm sorry you're not enjoying school.
*sigh*
ok I think I just crashed. g2g ttyl bye!!!
Ummm... I think I understand if what you mean is that your being a pottymouth on my blog. JK. But, please keep the cuss words out if you can, por favor. Parker and Brianna pretty much have always been. I could have been, except I was afraid to play too loud. Is Mimi still in Jazz Band? She was a pretty good pianist. Well, when I become "rich" and get my own car, then maybe I'll pay a visit, but who knows where everyone will be by then. I've never liked school. Especially now because I have a lot of homework to do.
Welcome to 8th grade.
I'd rather not be welcomed to 8th grade, or any grade for that matter.
True dat...
O. M. G. I found you!!! The Ligerz has died T_T! And so much more!!!
Oh, snap! Well, I sure am glad to know that I am no longer lost or forgotten and once again remembered. I heard from Ellie that the ligers have descended into a pit of despair. What happened to you? Why didn't you whip them into shape? The ligers would have one this year, if they hadn't died...
Well, I wanted Ethan to come in as the new you. Sarah hates Ethan's guts. So her and Ellie broke off and made a 3-person team. My new team is the Aminalz. We got 4th out of 13 in Locals, so we advance!!! And it was the first time we'd ever worked together!!! Oh yeah, Sarah and Ellie's group made a mockery of you. We had to create a new teammate, and they named theirs Jardetta. A female you!!! I told them that your female name is Jaredita, not Jaredetta. And I accidentally ripped Jaredetta's head off (accidentally!). So, what's new with you?
P.S.
JACKIE CHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ethan lacks engineering skills. Last locals, they made a gigantic shoe, wasting materials and ultimately failing when the shoe crushed. Remember that? Yeah, you guys stink. 4th? What were you thinking? What about first? You guys need to win first all around. Well, they're mean. Would I like the female me? What's she like? JK. You know, I'm fairly sure decapitating a former teammate's female version is illigal.
Not much here. We have a super large dirt encrusted rock filled backyard. It's pretty fun to dig in. Just up the street there are dirt bike paths and mountains and steep, steep hills and a canyon. My school is only 2 minutes away, right next the high school. It's around freezing point in the morning and as soon as the sun comes out, it's short sleeve weather. School starts at 7:30. How 'bout you?
P.S.-Our Jazz Band stinks. No trombones and 1 trumpet.
P.S.S.-Channie Jack!
Awww man....So I finally come back to your website. I'm pretty sure that you're still very mad at me, so I'll make this concise.
Okay, first off, It wasn't me that designed that shoe. Deepika messed with it, and decided to be some idiot leader and draw smiley faces all over because somehow that's creative...and then the rest of my group did nothing because Dashiell was on the team.
Second, if I remember correctly, last year YOU got fourth, so don't be criticizing us if you did the same.
Third, we just got done with regionals. We utterly failed. 23 teams went, and 12 made it. We didn't make it into the top half. I woke up at 6, and didn't eat for 6 hours after breakfast, so you can see why.
Oh well, I hope you're still not TOO mad.
Oops, it wasn't concise. By the way, I'm Ethan. And I'm emailing you now, I've procrastinated too long!
Yes ethan i knew it was you. when i said you lack engineering skills i meant i had more, no offense. it was not meant to insult you but i was bragging a little. I'm very sorry if i hurt your feelings. and when i said "you" i was talking to Saaud cause you're not supposed to be content and expect with just 4th. I apologize for poor wording. I never was mad, i just wasn't paying attention to how I said things. glad to hear from you!
Awesome, thanks for replying! But after this, let's use email.
I still don't agree with the part about you having better engineering skills. I'll say that neither of us shall know until we're not building stupid things from paper, straws, and aluminum foil.
Don't worry, We were not content with just 4th. 1st was (and is) welcome, of course. We just didn't expect to make it at all.
